Gumbo, also known as Gumbo Pop or Gumbo Runtz, is a cross between the bubblegum-forward Gumbo and the candy-like Runtz, making it a perfect pick for anyone with a sweet tooth. While the breeder is unknown, Gumbo Runtz's parents shine some light on what makes up the indica-dominant hybrid's fruity and relaxing profile. When you first pull apart Gumbo Runtz's sticky nugs, you'll notice a sweet and earthy aroma, but taking a puff is when you'll see what the strain is all about. Notes of sweet citrus hard candies and strawberry and cherry bubblegum will hit your senses, followed by an earthy finish. When it comes to the high, smoking Gumbo Runtz is like being hit with a hazy food coma after eating a bag of candy. The high offers sedating, mood-boosting effects that will likely result in couch-lock. Users report feeling euphoric, content, and sleepy, making Gumbo Runtz a good nighttime strain. The buds are primarily dark green with purple undertones. Bright red pistils add contrast to the nugs, accompanied by a heavy coating of white crystal trichomes.
