Runtz, the iconic hybrid strain created by California's Runtz Crew and scaled into a phenomenon by rapper and cannabis mogul Berner's Cookies brand, is the gift that keeps on giving. One of its many descendants is Apple Tartz, a cross between Runtz and Apple Fritter, developed by craft breeder Clearwater Genetics in fertile Colorado Springs, Colorado. This balanced hybrid is known for its spicy apple-cinnamon flavor profile, which may have you craving freshly baked pastries in turn. The flower's nugs tend to be a rich woodsy green and more dense than average. Apple Tartz was named a Leafly Strain of Summer 2022 and it remains a wise choice in any season.
